Job summary

As a Vice President in the Risk Management - Wealth Management - Credit Risk Oversight team, you\"ll be at the core of our resilience. Your primary responsibility will be to provide oversight, reporting, and credit risk management for all credit products offered within the JPMorgan Private Wealth Management business channels. You will also work collaboratively within the team and across other Control functions to support other risk types as needed. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the firm's responsible growth by anticipating new and emerging risks, and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily Red/Amber/Green (RAG) rating of shortfalls within Securities Based Lending (SBL) products and determining and directing Operations to liquidate positions when necessary.

  • Perform monthly Quality Assurance (QA) review of new SBL loans and provide feedback to Operations and Credit Executive.

  • Prepare existing credit reporting for team such as weekly credit submissions to Risk Bulletin, as well as other credit risk reports to senior leadership as needed.

  • Prepare executive presentations for Risk Leadership at various forums, committees, business reviews and management meetings to help drive Risk agenda and deliverables.

  • Provide support and coverage to the JPMWM Credit Risk team in the daily oversight and monitoring of Reg-T Lending (Margin) through the JPMWM business channels.

  • Provide support and coverage to the JPMWM Credit Risk team in the oversight of other credit products (mortgage; custom lending) offered through the JPMWM business channels.

  • Review and action counterparty risk exposures daily escalating where appropriate, including setting limits to monitor exposure.

  • Provide support and coverage to the JPMWM Credit Risk team in the daily oversight and monitoring of both Reg. T lending (Margin) and cash account trading through the JPMWM business channels.

  • Agree on key priorities for JPMWM Credit Risk in partnership with JPMWM Credit Risk and Credit Product owners., Participate in daily weekly, monthly and quarterly credit-related meetings.

  • Continue to improve the governance framework for JPMWM Credit Risk, Establish regular communication with the Business and Risk teams regarding credit risk issues.

  • Represent Risk and actively participate in cross-business channel credit-related initiatives, Provide support and/or coordination of policy and regulatory processes (ex. Regulatory exams, Consent Orders, Material Risk Assessments (MRAs), Audits)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional experience related to financial services and experience in credit underwriting, credit risk oversight and/or in a related control function

  • Strong project management skills and be highly execution oriented

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, and ability to navigate the organization across delivery channels and functions

  • Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively

  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls and keen interest in policy, governance, and regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships and interact comfortably with a wide spectrum of internal stakeholders

  • Knowledge of the JPMWM business and Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.

  • FINRA Series 7 license
