What You’ll Do
Maintain close interaction with customers to gather requirements, explain system design, share timelines, address problems, questions, issues, help in adoption.
Lead the design and architecture of robust software systems, making design choices and dictating coding standards, tools, and platforms.
Lead technical team to implement features that are aligned to customer expectations now and will address their expectation in the future.
Provide technical leadership by guiding and mentoring a team of Software Engineers, driving technical excellence in SDK/SAI API development.
Design, develop, and maintain APIs that expose Silicon One capabilities to various teams, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ease of use.
Collaborate with silicon architects, software engineers and senior stakeholders to ensure the alignment of Silicon One software initiatives and development work with business objectives.
Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions to track the performance and health of deployed Silicon One software, enabling issue resolution.
Ensure that Silicon One software and APIs meet security and compliance standards, collaborating closely with security teams to implement necessary measures.
Who You’ll Work With

You will be working very closely with the rest of our Core ASIC Group (CAG) with foundations of innovation, teamwork, open communication, and customer success. You’ll also work cross-functionally with Hardware Engineering, Product Management/Marketing, Product Operations, Global Supplier Management (GSM), External Vendors/Suppliers, Manufacturing Operations, and EMS/JDM partners.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 15+ years of experience in computer networking field.
10+ years of writing production grade software in C++, C, and/or Python.
7+ years of experience leading the design and development of software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science or related field and 12+ years of experience in computer networking field.
Experience developing distributed systems and implementing them using Kafka, Redis or similar.
Experience with SONiC, SAI, or another Network OS.
Knowledge of security and compliance standards.
Experience mentoring peers of all levels.
This role requires 3+ days/week onsite in San Jose, CA.
