Job Summary:

The Senior Specialist of Health and Safety will support all aspects of Health and Safety in the Southern NH Region.  This position will work closely with Health and Safety leadership, resort operations, and corporate leadership to implement and sustain a Health and Safety culture that achieves world-class safety performance. This position will work and collaborate with external partners, community leaders, and regulators in supporting the resort as well as the company’s core value of Be Safe.

Job Specifications: 

-Location: New Hampshire
-Outlet: Mount Sunapee and Crotched Mountain Resorts 
-The budgeted range starts at $55,000 - $69, # Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience
-Schedule & Availability: Full Time / Year Round
 

Job Responsibilities:

-Support the company’s Health and Safety strategy to achieve world-class Health and Safety performance within the travel and leisure Industry.  Responsible for the execution of:

-Safety Training
-Audits and Assessments
-Resort Safety Programs and Compliance
-Advising and coaching front-line leaders on Health and Safety initiatives
-Relationship building with Stakeholders in the field 
-Jobsite project inspections, audits, and safety assessments 
-Be an unbiased leader and voice for resort and H&S leadership to ensure a deep understanding of the risks and opportunities to drive, improve, and then maintain superior safety performance with line-level employees, supervisors, and managers.
-Develop an understanding of the core business needs and historic/current/predictive safety metrics in order to adjust safety strategy accordingly.
-Address compliance and regulatory safety as well as risk management trends and regulatory focus areas as directed by the Manager or Senior Manager of H&S 
-Engage, as required, with local, state, and federal officials as necessary to support Health and Safety Compliance and best practices.
-Support the Manager of Health and Safety and serve in their absence.
-Communicate across a variety of stakeholders in a matrix environment.
-Execute projects and tasks as assigned.
-Own your self-development as a Health and Safety Professional  
-Other duties or tasks as assigned.
 

Job Qualifications: 

-Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Health & Safety
-1-3 years experience working in Health and Safety or related field
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including project management software, Visio
-Degree in Health & Safety related field
-Experience analyzing, and advising on safety data analytics
-Experience leading and implementing change
-Advanced Level Skier or Snowboarder
 

The expected pay range is $55,000 - $69, # This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
