Our Sturtevant, WI location is part of our Meat Division and creates dry seasoning blends for meat and snacks items that spice up the life of Kerry customers. What You'll DoThe typical hiring range for this role is between $33 and $39 per hour and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).
$2,500 Sign on Bonus
3rd shift 9 pm to 5 am $1.50 extra per hour for shift differential
Adhere to all established Kerry LIFE Safety, Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and processing policies with an eye towards Quality.
Adhere to all LO/TO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures while performing work on equipment as required.
Never take shortcuts or use improper tools/equipment that could compromise the safety of themselves or others.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment.
This includes, but is NOT limited to:
Performing regular (continuous) services to our internal customers.
Preventative maintenance procedures.
Predictive maintenance procedures.
Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
Troubleshooting 480V
PLC programing and troubleshooting
Electrical Troubleshooting
Work with team members to achieve the highest efficiency.
Ability to work within a computerized maintenance management system technology to organize work orders
What You'll Need To Be Successful And SafeMinimum Requirements:
3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Formal certifications and/or AAS or equivalent in relevant field preferred.
Advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery.
Experience with load cells/ weight displays/ Metal Detectors/ Pneumatic cylinders/ Variable frequency drive wiring and parameter entering/ Bag sealer knowledge (Fischbein PBC 6000)/ Conveyors.
Proper bearing installations.
Proper alignment techniques, (sprocket/sheave alignments, coupling alignments).
Use of measuring tools, (tape measures, calipers, gauges).
Reading mechanical schematics.
Electrical knowledge of industrial machinery.
Motor wiring skills.
Electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proper use of electrical meters.
Reading electrical schematics.
Troubleshooting 480V/110
Organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding of the terminology of the job.
Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions.
Ability to be a team-player.
Median computer and report writing skills.
Use and understanding of Predictive tools preferred.
Infrared Thermography
Ultrasound
2-3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing industry.
