We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Professional to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in managing and enhancing our database systems related to grants and loans, focusing on integrating and optimizing Workday Finance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in database administration and development, particularly in environments adhering to state compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain databases in compliance with state regulations, ensuring efficient and secure data handling processes.

Serve as the lead for integrating Workday Finance systems with existing databases, focusing on system compatibility, data migration, and performance.

Develop and optimize SQL queries and scripts on Oracle databases, ensuring high performance and alignment with business and compliance requirements.

Regularly audit databases to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations regarding financial data security and privacy.

Manage the backup and disaster recovery plans for finance-related databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Provide technical leadership in database strategy sessions, particularly related to grants and loans systems, suggesting improvements and innovations.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration with O365 applications, enhancing productivity and user experience.

Train and support database users, promoting best practices in data entry, management, and retrieval.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and compliance requirements, adjusting database management practices accordingly.

Basic Qualifications:

7 years of experience in database administration or a related role, with specific experience in managing finance systems using Workday.

Strong proficiency in SQL and Oracle database technologies.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Office 365 integration and management.

Demonstrable experience in designing and managing databases within the constraints of state compliance regulations.

Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external regulators.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Experience in the public sector or in organizations involved with grants and loans systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications related to database management, Oracle, SQL, or Workday Finance.
