Job Description
The responsibilities of the Plant Manager are
Responsibilities:
Operations Management:- Lead day-to-day operations of the seafood manufacturing plant, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
Quality Assurance and Food Safety:Uphold strict adherence to food safety regulations (FDA, HACCP, etc.) and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure product integrity and consistency.Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Team Leadership and Development:Provide strong leadership to the plant team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance skills and capabilities within the plant.Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to ensure team alignment with company goals.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:Ensure a safe working environment for all plant employees by implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability initiatives.
Budget and Cost Management:Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs and expenditures within approved budgets.Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve operational efficiency.
Relationship Management:Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations and resolve any issues that may arise.Collaborate with other departments (such as procurement, logistics, and sales) to optimize overall business operations and meet customer demands.
