The Global Director of Human Intelligence - Agile Innovation Insights, is responsible for driving human centricity at the heart of our innovation strategy. In partnership with the Portfolio & Innovation team this individual leads the empathetic development of white space, bridging to the Demand Segmentation. They develop the necessary tools to define, size, and translate white space to key consumer problems to solve. Providing strategic thought leadership, grounded in insight and foresight, they partner in opportunity prioritization to develop the Holistic Innovation Platform. In addition to strategic development, this role also brings structure to fueling through project hypothesis development and measurement plans, with consistent KPIs and Metrics. This role identifies and drives agile ways of learning that leverage innovation technology to identify winning concepts early and reliably, as well as kill poor ideas faster.
Working closely with the GTO and Enterprise Innovation Council (EIC) to execute innovation projects identified as priority. Also prioritizes resources and focus within the team to ensure agile ways of working with the right capabilities and tools.
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years’ experience in consumer/shopper insights and market research (preferably in CPG)
- 5+ years’ experience in innovation research and insights
- Proven track record of working with teams in bringing innovations successfully to market
- Proven track record of working in innovative ways, piloting new approaches, tools and methodologies
- 2+ years’ experience in line management and team leadership. Experience in remote line management across different cultures is a must.
- Experience of working in agile teams is preferred
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Drive a human-centric foundation for innovation strategy:
- Innovation Platforms: Develop and refresh a framework that identifies, sizes, and defines white space territories incorporating foresight & growth signals in the market.
- Pipeline Fill: Develop a consistent approach to pitch territory development leveraging existing knowledge, expert input and structured sprint team ideation. This fueling also includes prioritization & input to determine the shape of the innovation pipeline.
- Hypothesis & KPI Guidance: Create consistency in how innovations are developed by creating structured hypotheses & guidance for KPI development to ensure faster decision making. Apply these criteria for continuous evolution of the innovation pipeline in partnership with the Innovation Leadership Team.
- Pioneer new, innovative approaches for insight generation in spirit of ‘innovate the way we innovate & create the way we create’
- Lead, engage, and line manage a global team of 7 remote Human Intelligence associates - allocating resources over various innovation work streams, and therefore planning, organizing and measuring work
