Infection Control Registered Nurse Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered Virginia Registered Nurse License
  • 5 years of supervisory or nursing administration experience
  • Experience in long-term care required
  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in a long-term care facility
  • Performs a combination of resident care duties and wound care procedures
  • Make written and verbal reports/recommendations to the DON
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, and implement programs
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to see and hear
  • Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the DON and/or administrator
