Position Overview

Maintains inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items; securing warehouse; supervising staff. Meet the established and promised delivery schedules for finished products and pick up of materials.

Essential Job Functions

·         Oversees warehouse operations.

·         Uses common warehouse management systems.

·         Manages warehouse associates.

·         Supervises pulling and shipping activities.

·         Ensure to finish all the orders that are scheduled to be delivered the next day.

·         Help print the paperwork, pulling and shipping.

·         Pull cigarette orders, check, and load it with the driver.

·         Help with the inventory process.

·         Make sure everything is locked and arm in the warehouse.

·         Help with the CVS audit.

·         Certified to drive all the equipment.

 

Skills and Competency Requirements

·         Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving in a distribution environment, including any pertinent DOT, state, and local regulations

·         Able to read, interpret and use visual instructions in order to perform required work

·         Able to think logically, troubleshoot, and solve problems

·         Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with projects or processes

·         Takes initiative and needs little supervision

·         Able to prioritize, organize tasks and time, and follow up

·         Performs responsibilities efficiently and timely

·         Demonstrates orientation towards safety, quality, and customer service

·         Able to work well in a team environment and as part of a team

·         Proficient in computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet usage

 

Qualifications

·         High School diploma 

·         2-3 years’ experience in shipping and receiving

·         Supervisory experience

·         Proficiency at using material handling equipment and metering small parcels   

·         Must pass with a completely negative result a pre-employment drug test.

 

 

Physical demands

·         Standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds

 

Work environment

·         Work is performed in a climate controlled distribution warehouse environment.
