THE POSITIONOur roster has an opening with your name on itWe are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Deployment Automation engineering team in our Developer Lifecycle organization.
The Deployment Automation team creates and supports service deployment and deployment observability mechanisms, using UI-based tools, infrastructure-as-code, libraries, and other tools.
These are used company-wide to support large-scale complex application microservice architectures across several dozen target deployment locations under unique geographic and regulatory constraints.
This team defines (in collaboration with our stakeholders), implements, and supports the aforementioned mechanisms.
We're looking for passionate & experienced technologists, strong communicators, and those with a commitment to continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have the confidence to propose pragmatic solutions to complex problems and be eager to both learn from and educate others.
In this role you will work amongst multidisciplinary teams, tackling complex problems to create world class infrastructure as we continuously build out our exciting and innovative developer experience.

Lead conversations to remove blockers and foster collaboration across teamsCollaborate with various cross-functional software engineering teams to enhance and unify our overarching engineering culture.
Translate overarching strategic goals into actionable and detailed plans that can be readily implemented by engineers.
Demonstrate technical leadership across the organization.
Shape and enact standards and baselines for uplifting engineering across FanDuel.
Under your guidance, supervise the development and implementation of engineering tools seamlessly integrated into the Development Lifecycle.
THE STATSWhat we're looking for in our next teammateProficient experience in programming languages (e.

) Strong experience with delivering programs and projects via tools like JiraTransform strategic objectives into actionable programs of work, leading to the execution of effective and successful outcomesProficient in developing applications & identifying patterns related to Platform engineering, Infrastructure engineering, Devops, etc.

Experience with tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.

Deep familiarity with distributed microservice architecture components & patterns (for example:
protobuf, OpenAPI, thrift, API Gateways, microservice mesh, etc.

)Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS with infrastructure-as-code (e.
