Academic Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology Opportunity in Rochester NY

The University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking to employ one or more BE/BC non-Invasive cardiologists with subspecialty training in Advanced Heart Failure. The successful candidate will join a team of 7 Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologists and 3 Transplant Cardiac Surgeons in a busy academic medical center. The University of Rochester is a quaternary referral medical center with referrals from across the broad region of New York State with a state-of-the-art advanced imaging and intensive care unit facilities that are supported by 4 catheterization labs and 3 EP labs. The position may also involve outreach travel to satellite offices. These positions offer protected time for teaching and research.

URMC Cardiac Care Advanced Heart Failure Program is a robust, multi-disciplinary heart failure program that has been a national leader and innovator in minimally invasive ventricular assist device implantation. There has been a fully accredited heart transplant program at URMC for several decades which has performed over 340 heart transplants since its inception. The program has a newly created dedicated 22 bed ICU fully staffed with a team of 7 cardiac critical care intensivists and 20 advance practice practitioners.

There are positions available for experienced and recently trained heart failure cardiologists. We are seeking physicians with strong core values, interest in research and passion for teaching.

Requirements:
MD from an accredited university medical school.Board eligible or board certified in cardiology and fellowship in Advanced Heart FailureAbility to obtain a New York State medical licenseCurrent DEA certificationAbility to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital
