Job Description

Technicians at Nordstrom are key to the success of operations that keep merchandise flowing seamlessly to our stores and customers. Supporting our Technology Depot operations, we are seeking a qualified Technician 2 to support users with inquiries involving computer systems, hardware, and software, with a focus on providing excellent service to Nordstrom employees. Standout candidates will be tech savvy with quick analytical and problem-solving skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Candidates must be willing to work onsite 5 days/week at Nordstrom’s Credit Headquarters in Centennial, CO to be considered for this position. The scheduled shift will be Monday-Friday from 6am-3pm.

A day in the life…

Provide quick and effective assistance to users, guiding them in-person through troubleshooting and maintenance.

Utilize daily work management systems data to prioritize backlog of work and communicate identified issues/changes to leadership

Protect the Nordstrom brand by ensuring that customer/other protected data and intellectual property is protected, never exposed to external breach or unauthorized access, and all appropriate security controls/practices are implemented.

Identify why a problem is occurring, analyze the appropriate data and create an effective plan for resolution using technical solutions.

Perform maintenance activities to help prevent unexpected failures of technical equipment.

Provision store hardware, repair returned broken Zebra hardware, and ship out new hardware.

Demonstrate understanding and consistently deliver within the target SLA's for the specific area.

Demonstrate understanding of Project Management best practices.

You own this if you have…

A bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

3 years' tech support experience

3+ years’ experience troubleshooting, testing, or repairing technical equipment

Understanding of Zebra printers, scanners, and handheld devices

Familiarity/experience working with ServiceNow, Windows 10/11, Dell Desktop/Laptop, iPads, thermal label printers (mobile/desktop), laser printers

High motivation and self-direction with sound problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills

Ability to read/understand technical documentation and aptitude to learn quickly

Ability to function well in a fast-changing work environment and manage competing priorities when facing multiple time sensitive issues concurrently

Ability to repetitively walk, bend, reach, stand, and lift 50lb boxes without difficulty
