Join the Iberia Team We are a national food and beverage manufacturer and distributor currently searching for a Warehouse Lead for our Palmer, MA Facility. This role offers room to grow to move into our larger facilities. The Warehouse Lead will support the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products in our facility. Ultimately the Warehouse Lead should be able to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. We are looking for a hands-on individual to be part of the team and support the manager.

Salary range starts at 50k+ (commensurate with experience)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Supports receiving, shipping, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
  • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • May liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies.
  • Assist with plan work routes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
  • Assist with recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching and motivating employees.
  • Assist with produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock reports, etc.)
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

Skills:

  • Cycle counting / order checking.
  • Expertise is warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Hands on experience with ability to manually check products before shipment.
  • Familiar with warehouse management software and databases or MS Excel.
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff.
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High School graduate with 5 years of warehouse experience along with 2-3 years supervisory experience or any combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Supervisory experience: Minimum 3 years
  • Food Industry experience preferred
  • Previous experience with DSD(Direct Store Delivery) is a plus but can be trained for right person
