The ideal candidate will have extensive culinary work experience, especially with successful execution of a high volume of a banquet kitchen. The successful candidate must have hands-on experience with a similar organization's level of service and operation. What You Will Be Doing

As a Banquet Sous Chef, you will efficiently and consistently produce the highest quality menu items by taking full ownership for the daily preparation and execution of food items in your station. We are looking for a leader, and team player who will successfully execute all culinary for all of our banquet events. This position will also cross train on the line to provide support when needed to the other food and beverage outlets. You will report to the Executive Chef. Job Requirements

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Must be an outgoing, positive, friendly person. Scheduling for the Banquet kitchen staff Attend weekly BEO meetings, update BEO's with changes Review banquet event order sheets on a daily basis and make note of any changes. Brief the banquet kitchen staff daily about the upcoming and current functions. Supervises and coordinates all activities of banquet kitchen staff who are engaged in food preparation. Able to coordinate banquet production and plating with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and banquet kitchen staff. Establish the day’s priorities and assign production and preparation tasks for the banquet kitchen staff to execute. Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

Responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of banquet kitchen.

Must cross train for the kitchen line to provide support for all other Food and Beverage Outlets

Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Previous hotel experience a plus, but not required. High volume banquet kitchen experience is required. You must be able to pass a thorough background check as well as be drug free. Waterford Health and Wellness
