We are hiring for the following:

Position: Certified Medical Assistant - NC

Schedule: Evenings 2 pm-10 pm, Monday-Friday

Location: Catawba County Detention Center

Pay Rate: $20/hr

Responsibilities:

Dispenses oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
Stocks the medication cart
Records what medications and dosages were given for the day
Manages and maintains pharmacy stocks of medicine and medical supplies
Respond to requests from Security Staff as well as Mediko Staff in accordance
with Mediko and Facility Guidelines. This includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct/behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention/correctional facility
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (AAMT) required
Associates Degree required
One year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (AAMT) required
Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved)
