Directory, Actuary Role: Global Capabilities - Eureka

This role will support Enterprise Capabilities to design, develop, test, and deliver actuarial modeling solutions for use in valuation, pricing, forecasting, capital optimization, and M&A.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business partners (Valuation, Forecasting, Risk, etc) to implement solutions
  • Reach agreement with business partners on minimally viable solution
  • Enhance solutions based on feedback from business partners
  • Implement an actuarially sound solution to a production-ready application
  • Ensure solutions meet model governance standards and best practices


Develop solutions to meet business requirements
  • Actuarial methodology, simplifications, approximations
  • Follow model governance standards and best practices as needed
  • Python code for modeling or transformations


Collaborate with technology partners to implement scalable architecture for business solutions
  • Solutions are scalable to new use-cases
  • Solutions are flexible to support future changes
  • Solutions are stable and reliable in Production
  • Solutions are transparently documented


What you'll need:
  • ASA or higher actuarial credentials
  • 3+ years of experience in actuarial work (valuation, forecasting, capital management)
  • 3+ years of experience with actuarial regulatory frameworks (US Statutory, US GAAP, ICS)
  • Understanding of Asset and Liability Management
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies
  • Bachelor's Degree


It'd be a plus if you had:
  • Experience with software engineering or constructing/evaluating actuarial models
  • Knowledge of Bermuda insurance financial reporting and regulatory framework
  • Knowledge of Japan insurance financial reporting and regulatory framework
  • Open to remote/virtual location

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $160,700.00 to $217,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
