Responsibilities:

  1. Client Advocacy: Serve as a dedicated advocate for our clients throughout the claims process, providing support, guidance, and assistance to ensure fair and timely resolution.
  2. Claims Management: Manage a portfolio of property and casualty claims, including but not limited to auto accidents, property damage, and liability claims, from initial report to final settlement.
  3. Documentation and Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into each claim, gathering pertinent information, assessing damages, and documenting findings accurately and comprehensively.
  4. Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on claim status and progress.
  5. Negotiation: Negotiate with insurance carriers on behalf of clients to ensure they receive fair and equitable settlements that adequately compensate for their losses.
  6. Customer Service: Provide empathetic and responsive customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and answering their questions with professionalism and compassion.

Requirements:

  • Claims Experience: Previous experience in property and casualty claims adjusting or processing, with a strong understanding of insurance policies, coverages, and claims handling procedures.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex situations, identify key issues, and formulate effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Genuine empathy and compassion for individuals experiencing loss or hardship, with a commitment to providing personalized support and assistance.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation skills with the ability to advocate for clients' interests and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues as needed.

Training and Work Arrangements:

  • Comprehensive Training: New hires will receive comprehensive training and support to familiarize themselves with our agency's processes, procedures, and systems.
  • In-Office Training: Initially, new hires will undergo in-office training to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their role.
  • Flexible Work Arrangements: Once training is complete, Claims Advocates will have the option to work remotely for a portion of their weekly schedule, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
