We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Pre-Analytic Training Coordinator to help onboard and train new and existing employees across our Pre-Analytics department (Accessioning, Order Processing, and Returns). 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead / coordinate the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training in Preanalytic workflows to ensure a positive new hire experience.
  • Provide / coordinate ongoing group and individualized training in specimen receipt, order creation, order updates, accessioning, order review, specimen returns for purposes of work performance enhancement and general education.
  • Deliver training in department policies and procedures.
  • Conduct related competency evaluation.
  • Develop and implement appropriate resources and tools to accomplish training objectives.
  • Evaluate and update existing training materials and plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert / procedural resource for department employees and external stakeholders (i.e. IT, Product, other downstream functions). 
  • Support leadership and Quality Manager with their goals in relation to quality and service metrics.
  • Assist with the creation and execution of improvement plans for underperforming employees.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records for all training competency assessments conducted.
  • Provide training with respect and professionalism at all times.
  • Perform bench work as needed (not exceed 25% of the time).
  • Additional tasks as needed


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • 3 years relevant work/training experience.
  • Ability to design and implement training, and to measure and report on training effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to delegate tasks to others.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate change.
  • Ability to work with others to plan and carry out training programs.
  • Self-driven and works well in a cross-functional team with minimal direction.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Chicago office 5 days a week.
