Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking a  Dietitian Nutritionist I  for  Naples Community Health Care System   located in the beautiful sunny South West region of Florida, in Naples .  NCH Healthcare System  provide personalized care for over 40,500 patients a year in our three-hospital, 716 bed system  offers advanced heart, cancer, critical care, behavioral health, obstetrics, newborn and pediatric care.

 

The Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to admitted patients of NCH Healthcare Systems. The p rimary responsibilities include assessing nutritional needs, developing and implementing nutritional care plans and participating in patients/staff education and performance improvement activities.  The clinical team works together with department staff members to provide optimal food and nutritional services to the patients and visitors to ensure the healing and well-being of each individual patient.

 

This is a great opportunity for new RD's as well as experienced Dietitians

 

***Some Hybrid work is available***

 

Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days
Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees and CDR renewal
Money toward continuing education events
Up to $5000 tuition reimbursement annually

The successful candidate will:  

  • provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units;  

  • work every fourth weekend providing hospital wide coverage;  

  • perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays;  

  • educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses; and  

  • precept dietiec interns.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
