Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med/Surg

Shift: Nights/ 7p-7a, 12x3 36hrs/week, EOW

Length: 13 Weeks

Holiday Requirement: Rotate in with perm staff

Requirements: 

  • IL license
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience
  • Must have experience working in a similar size facility (Level 4/smaller.)
  • Must have experience with limited resources
  • BLS
  • Pediatric experience is a plus
  • Highly prefer previous travel experience

Other Details:

Floating within skill set. Can float to ICU, L&D, ER and psych to be helping hands.

Charting System: Cerner Corporation - Millennium

Nurse:Patient Ratios: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:6

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: This is a MedSurg/Tele/Peds unit. Take patients from 1 month old & up. Recently had an increase in pediatric population. RSV, influenzas, antibiotics - peds are not high acuity. Most common patients - adults-geriatrics - general MedSurg/Tele patients: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, ortho, infectious disease, podiatry, GI, chest tubes, COVID, post cath, controlled A-fib, ETOH detox. No Bipap. No neuro coverage - no CVAs. No urology coverage.
