Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.


Performs airflow, sound performance, and electric heat tests based on applicable AMCA, AHRI, and ISO standards.
Coordinates the development and maintenance of all lab testing standards.
Coordinates shipping/receiving of all Industrial HVAC equipment to and from lab.
Supervises installation and setup of Industrial HVAC equipment.
Performs troubleshooting within lab facilities.
Assists the Engineering Department in the upgrade of test facility data acquisition equipment.
Maintains tool and supply inventory; maintains required equipment calibration
Directs department activities to construct and test prototype designs ensuring compliance to industry and regulatory
Identify project resource requirements, review overall impact, and manage resources within project and fiscal limits.
Determines training needs for lab personnel and all employees performing work in the lab.
Confers with engineering staff to plan activities and programs, set priorities, and track progress.
Evaluates test data for consistency and recommends appropriate actions.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
Competent computer skills including the use of MS Office
Knowledge of requirements for AHRI testing with an extended knowledge of protocols for 440 and 880.
Documentation and project management skills must be a strength.
Strong planning and forecasting skills.
