Working with the Retail Support Manager, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the inbound and outbound functions to include inventory control and building profiling/space utilization. The Warehouse Manager will assist with the warehouse’s strategic direction and communicates initiatives in an effective manner to achieve the expected levels of execution.
Oversee activities directly related to warehouse operations, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies.
Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures; conferring with senior leadership, staff members and others within the organization as necessary.
Review financial statements and reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
Establish processes to ensure the highest quality and most efficient deliveries to Ace retailers.
Ensure all headcount and labor hour goals of the warehouse are met.
Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Create developmental opportunities for direct reports, as well as for their subordinates.
Actively pursue succession planning for self and subordinates.
Flexible to deal with issues that arise outside of normal business hours.
Develop and maintain good working relationships between warehouse departments, traffic and human resources.
