Nurse Manager, Emergency Department*
Our bustling Emergency Department, seeing over 40,000 patients annually, is in need of a skilled and compassionate emergency room nurse manager. As a key member of our facility, specializing in accredited stroke and chest pain care, you will be at the forefront of leadership, saving lives and providing top-notch care. The nurse manager (NM) is a registered professional nurse who has the most direct impact on the care and services that patients and families require throughout their hospital experience. The NM is directly responsible to the Director of Medical/Surgical Services or Director of Critical Care Services and is responsible for the continual operation of a specified nursing unit(s). The NM is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills and creativity and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations and compliance with hospital guidelines. The NM ensures quality of care is delivered for our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. The NM is the change agent for the assigned areas of responsibility and is responsible for implementing any changes that the unit is required to undergo. Bachelor's degree required.
* Licensure/Certification/Registration:*
* Must have current Florida nursing license.
* ACLS , BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred.
* Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training:*
* Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
*Minimum of two years of professional nursing practice experience required.
* Specific education and experience as delineated by the unit(s) of employment.
