The School Based Mental Health Professional provides behavioral health services as contracted by the school district. The behavioral health services may include coordinating, assessing, implementing, and evaluating the behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and families providing classroom support, individual counseling, facilitating social skills groups, crisis intervention, etc. Clinicians work with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to provide caring mental health support and increase a holistic understanding of students’ and families’ needs so they can thrive both in school & at home.
 
Provide and monitor behavioral data for documentation. Handle all administrative duties such as incident reporting, therapeutic restraint paperwork, SAFE-T documentation, and other necessary paperwork consistent with licensure, accreditation, funding sources and CGRC technology reporting requirements.
Consult with all other professionals involved in service to the child, adolescent, and family.
