We’re seeking a motivated Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team. This person will be a primary point of contact for our Indirect/Telecom Tax audits and contribute to the research, analysis and documentation of company tax planning initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to work with complex tax issues which have high visibility to senior management.
 
Respond to Indirect/Telecom Tax audit notices and document requests
Manage Indirect/Telecom Tax audit process (working as a primary point of contact for the auditor)
Gather and generate historical data to support tax returns
Identify tax savings and prepare refund claims
Conduct tax research for Indirect/Telecom goods and services
Perform system testing to ensure proper taxability
Review company purchasing activity for proper Indirect Tax treatment
Process and document customer tax exemption requests
Respond to customer inquiries regarding the taxes we charge
Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.
Special projects as assigned

Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university

Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience dealing with Indirect tax audits in a Multi-State environment. Ability to analyze large amounts of data is a must, along with excellent MS Excel and written and verbal communication skills
