The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences has announced a national search for their next Chief, Generalist Obstetrics/Gynecology Division.

This is an uncommon opportunity to lead an expansive and essential pillar of care for diverse, vibrant communities that leverages the unique capabilities of a top-tier academic medical center and committed health system partner. The Division Chief will work closely with the Department Chair and Jackson Health System leadership to set an overarching strategy that distinctively serves patients and communities, grows scholarship, and trains the next generation. In this role, the Chief will lead clinical, research, and education missions; manage operations of the Division; and support faculty success and excellence. The physician leader will develop and retain an outstanding faculty; integral to this is sustaining a culture of success, belonging, and engagement while deepening opportunities for collaboration across the enterprise. As well, the Chief will support faculty in their academic lives, thereby elevating generalist care by infusing it with scholarship.

The ideal candidate will have successful administrative and leadership experience at an academic institution. Expertise in Generalist OB/GYN as exemplified through direct patient care, scholarship, and/or membership and service in regional and national organizations. Experience with large patient volume and a high-risk obstetrics setting is desirable. An M.D. or D.O. degree and board certification in OB/GYN and either licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
