Federato’s AI/ML-driven platform leverages deep reinforcement learning to help insurance companies optimize the portfolio of risks they insure, allowing them to continue to provide fair and equitable pricing in difficult-to-price areas. Our category-defining ‘RiskOps’ solution drives better underwriting decisions by operationalizing underutilized data investments and surfacing real-time risk and portfolio insights. We focus on putting insurance underwriters back in the driver’s seat, helping them meet their goals while providing an important service to society.
As the Director of Content Strategy, you will define the strategic vision for and lead Federato’s content marketing program. You will develop a plan to ensure we are optimizing our content to increase awareness and customer acquisition through organic search, and other distribution channels. You will champion creative content ideas and results-oriented thinking across the marketing organization. This position will report into the VP of Marketing.

Build and lead a product-focused content marketing program. Partner with Marketing leadership to define the content team’s objectives and goals within the larger marketing organization and business. Create a content roadmap that helps achieve these goals.
Define Federato’s content marketing charter. Develop the standards and best practices for content creation, distribution, maintenance and repurposing into other assets. Manage the content calendar and editorial processes of our distribution channels, including our blog and social channels, and identify opportunities to amplify and syndicate our content.
Develop a deep understanding of Federato’s audience. Research, write and edit content for our owned channels that resonates with our target audiences and drives our funnel-building objectives.
Partner internally and externally. Work with designers (in-house or freelance) to manage production of marketing assets including graphic design, video and web development Work with customer success team and customers to tell our customer stories loudly.
Co-author and co-market short-and long-form content.
Optimize towards results. Leverage data, reporting and analytical insights to set goals, test, measure success, and continually refine our content mix and strategy toward better engagement and conversion.
Build, manage and inspire a high-performing team of content strategists and writers.
Qualifications
~7-10 years of relevant work experience in content marketing, writing, editing, journalism, or another relevant field. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
~ Performance-oriented with a proven track record building and scaling a results-driven B2B content strategy.
~ Outstanding writing and editing skills. Skilled at developing strategies that deliver content across a broad range of lengths (long-form + short-form) and formats (blog posts, video, interactive, audio, etc).
~ Deep understanding of SEO best practices, strong track recording developing and executing on SEO strategies that drive results.
~ Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary.
~ Experience managing an internal team as well as creative agencies.
~ Comfort working in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
~ Background in insurance or fintech a strong plus.
