REGISTERED NURSE (RN) FOR 13 WEEK CONTRACT IN RUSSELL, KS*
Travel Contract (Must Reside 50+ Miles Away)*
_We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Med Surg Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, compassion, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care._
*$00 per Week (Taxed + Non-Taxed)*
Nights
Shifts (36 Hrs. per Week)
*Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, including physical, emotional, and psychosocial aspects.
* Document patient information accurately and promptly.
* Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs and medical history.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and optimize patient care.
* Assist in preoperative and postoperative care, ensuring patients are well-prepared for surgical procedures and recover safely.
* Educate patients and families about surgical processes, postoperative care, and discharge instructions.
* Provide education to patients and their families about managing medical conditions, medications, and self-care.
* Communicate effectively with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care conferences.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance.
* Follow established protocols, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe and effective care environment.
* Stay current with best practices and advancements in medical-surgical nursing.
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting.
* New graduates with strong clinical skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
* Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
