Beaumont Health seeks a Nuclear Medicine Physician to work primarily at the Royal Oak Campus with occasional coverage at the Troy campuses. Candidates need to be authorized users (or eligible) or experienced with full range of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic studies and therapies. Our collegial medical staff of eight (including this position), and supportive administrative leadership help shape a tight-knit community of radiologists and clinical support.
The Royal Oak Campus is a regional referral center for Oncology and organ transplantation as well as other surgical and medicine subspecialties. The facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art scanners including PET/CT and SPECT/CT. Hybrid remote schedule in place. Extra shift compensation opportunities available on time off and weekends.
With nearly 1 million screening and diagnostic tests performed each year, Beaumont Health is Michigans preferred destination for imaging. The American College of Radiology has designated several of our locations as Diagnostic Imaging Centers of Excellence.
The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients.

Develop and cultivate positive and productive working relationships with other Corewell Health personnel, and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, compassion, collaboration, clarity, curiosity, and courage. Demonstrate a commitment to service and distinctive, personalized care with both internal customers (coworkers, fellow employees, hospital staff, etc.) Assist in meeting operational, financial, and patient satisfaction goals. Assess and monitor the medical needs of patients. Provide quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensure coverage of case load at all times.
Communicate regularly with patients families, referring physicians, specialists, nursing staff and other hospital departments regarding the plan of care and treatment of patients, including within 24 hours of admission, for any major change in a patients condition, and within 24 hours prior to discharge. Document medical services in the patients medical record in a manner consistent with hospital, payor, and regulatory standards.
Participate in on-call and weekend coverage, as required by the Department. Participate in value-based reimbursement programs and quality initiatives, as required by the Department.
Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) / Quality Assurance (QA) and peer review activities as requested. Assist, as requested, in the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
Participate in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. Support patient participation in clinical trials and research projects, assess clinical safety and efficacy data, consistent with Research Institute policies.
Provide oversight, teaching, and mentorship of fellows, residents, APPs (e.g., physician assistants and advance practice registered nurses), and students and others (as appropriate) providing services to patients, including meaningful participation with the affiliated medical schools as requested.
