Provides psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment at designated Medication Clinic locations. provides consultation to staff as needed.
Conducts medical and psychiatric assessments including psychiatric history, course of illness, response to treatment, mental status examination, and diagnoses
# onset, course and effect of illness, past treatment and response, and risk behaviors)Mental status, and diagnosis
# Physical health and dental health
# self-care, living situation, nutrition, money management); and Family structure and relationships

Provides support, education, and counseling to family members of consumers to help them become knowledgeable about mental illness
Involved in consumer care including discharge planning of consumers as needed
Submits written reports and oral testimonies and presentations of opinion in commitment and/or other legal proceedings, which may include a wide range of treatment, rehabilitative and support services matters as required
Trains staff in the knowledge and skills basic to the treatment of persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses
Directs and collaborates with registered nurses to develop, revise, maintain and supervise team psychopharmacologic and medical treatment and medication policies and procedures
Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency policy, rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in on-going in-service training as well as required external training
Assists in the development and implementation of programmatic goals and objectives
Provides consultative psychiatric services to Health Team staff committed to improving general health and well-being of members it serves with severe mental illness
Consults with Health Team staff to distribute evidence-based psychiatric education to the team
Board certified or Board eligible in psychiatry and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Oklahoma
maintaining effective working relationships with consumers, other staff, and the community
Must complete all in-service and external training requirements
