American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse Correctional for a travel nursing job in Waverly, Virginia.
Shift: 12 hours, nights

American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an RN to join our corrections medical team in Waverly, Virginia. This is a maximum security state men's prison with a maximum capacity of 1,139 inmates.
Available Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week
As a Registered Nurse in a correctional care setting, you’ll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of correctional staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
