Corewell Health is seeking an Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant Physician in Grand Rapids, MI. The selected candidate will join a well-established, FACT accredited transplant and cellular therapy program Offered treatments include Allo, and Auto transplants, and CAR T therapy. A strong background in transplant and malignant hematology is preferred, but new graduates will also be considered. The BMT unit is an 18-bed unit located at Butterworth hospital on Corewell Health's (formerly Spectrum Health's) well known "Medical Mile." Multidisciplinary rounds include APPs, pharmacy, nurses, care managers, dietitian, and physical therapy Responsibilities also include seeing patients in a team-based approach with the APPs in the clinic, located at LH cancer pavilion. Calls are shared with APPs and our hospitalist team providing onsite coverage 24/7.
Assesses the medical needs of patients/significant others.
Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
