As a Facility Assistant, your role will encompass a diverse range of routine building maintenance and repairs. This on-call position requires flexibility in working hours, occasionally extending after 5 pm and weekends to address maintenance needs.
*What You Will Do as a Facilities Assistant:*
· Ensure and safeguard C.C.I. consumers' human dignity, rights, and liberties.
· Support the Facility Manager in basic repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, repairs to interior and exterior surfaces, and installation of facility components.
· Maintain tools and supplies as assigned by the Facility Manager.
· Supervise and monitor contractors, ensuring high standards of quality, timeliness, and adherence to the budget.
· Effectively use the organization’s maintenance system (currently MaintainX).
· Procure necessary supplies from designated vendors at reasonable prices as directed by the Facility Manager.
*What You’ll Need as a Facilities Assistant:*
· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
· Valid driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and an acceptable background check.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, climb ladders, and use power/manual tools.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently.
· Prior experience in facility maintenance, especially in basic plumbing, paint and related preparation, carpentry, and the use of office equipment and tools.
