As an RN in OR setting you will collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs.
Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situation
Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients
Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR
Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care
Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
Keep the operating room sterilized
Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care

Minimum 1year previous perioperative experience or completion of Perioperative Nursing course
~ Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required, Bachelor Degree in Nursing preferred
~ HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital. We serve the communities of Seminole and West Volusia County. At HCA Healthcare, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We provide the only full-service cardiovascular program. Our program offers open-heart surgery and interventional cardiology. Electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and comprehensive diagnostic services are also offered by this program. Other services that we provide include orthopedic and spine care, as well as robotic surgery. We offer acute inpatient medical rehabilitation and complete imaging services.
