Employed General Surgery Opportunity in Beautiful Jasper, Alabama

Excellent opportunity for a General Surgeon interested in joining an experienced surgeon in a thriving practice located in Jasper, Alabama. This full-scale general surgery practice offers a wide array of cases.
Highlights :
- Employment with TPR (Tenet Physician Resources)
- Surgeries performed at Walker Baptist Medical Center, complete with Da Vinci Xi Robot and much more
- Anticipate 65% outpatient and 35% inpatient - OR 3 days per week
- Average of 25 patients per day/per physician seen in the clinic; average of 7 surgeries per week
- Call 1:3 weekends and typically one day a week (call shared with 2 private physicians)
- Full staff including a PA
Candidate Requirements:
- MD or DO degree required
- BE/BC in General Surgery
- Alabama licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Alabama

Walker Baptist Medical Center is a 267 bed, acute care facility located in Jasper, Alabama, which is 35 minutes from metro Birmingham. This facility has over 600 employees and offers a comprehensive range of clinical services including orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, emergency services, and specialized medical and surgical services. Walker Baptist Medical Center received a Five-Star rating for spinal surgery, total knee replacement, as well as COPD treatment.
Jasper i s home to Lewis Smith Lake, a large, recreational lake thats perfect for fishing, swimming, and boating. The city also offers golf courses, parks, museums, and local dining. Those choosing to commute from Birmingham to Jasper will find a short 35-minute drive each way. Birmingham is the largest city in Alabama with a population of 1.1 million people in the greater metropolitan area, and it offers easy access to Alabamas Gulf Coast, and other major metropolitan cities like Nashville and Atlanta. The greater Birmingham-area offers excellent schools, both public and private, a major college of medicine, golf courses, semi-pro sports teams, and multiple state and local parks.
