The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.
*Work Schedule: *Your planned work schedule will be Monday - Friday 12:30p.m. - 9:00p.m *(afternoon / night shift)*. Benefits:** * All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Commissions, and Company bonus where applicable. Introduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing
* Open specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing
* Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes
* Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results
* Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required
* Resolve and document any problem specimens
* Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste
* Comply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures
* Operate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary
*No relevant experience is required
* Previous medical or production experience is preferred
* Proficient computer and typing skills
* Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time
* Ability to work overtime when needed
