Job Title: Laboratory Accessioner

Axia Women's Health is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Accessioner to join our team in Oaks, PA. As a Laboratory Accessioner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and identify laboratory samples, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information
  • Verify specimen labels and requisitions to ensure correct testing and handling
  • Retrieve orders from the laboratory information system and enter information manually when necessary
  • Collect and handle specimens according to standard operating procedures
  • Perform send-out tests, including pending orders and researching additional information
  • Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering, storage, and supply levels
  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area, adhering to hygiene and sanitization standards
  • Handle hazardous waste management activities in accordance with established policies and protocols
  • Manage phone calls and issues related to patient samples and result reports
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in a laboratory testing environment, including clinical and/or anatomic pathology
  • Certifications: None
