The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting the Human Resources and Distribution team. The HR Specialist performs duties at a professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: benefits, employee relations, recruiting, compliance and payroll. They consult with employees, supervisors and managers related to human resources issues. The position forms partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Responsible for employee relations counseling and investigations.
Assist and/or conduct employee development and training.
Assist in implementation of human resource policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with Federal and State regulatory requirements and reporting.
May participate in developing HR goals, objectives and processes.

4-6 years of progressive experience in Human Resources or equivalent education/training.
~ Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI preferred.
~ Responsive to staff needs, including professionalism, respect and consideration of others.
~ Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors work to ensure quality.
~ Takes personal responsibility for own actions, keeping commitments and asking for and offering help when needed.
~ Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
