Job Requirements

- (AHA) BLS, NRP Required Skills -Work Settings: -Postpartum Required Newborn Care General Skills: -Discharge teaching to parents -Infant Identification -Newborn Assessment -Phototherapy -Thermoregulation Care of the Newborn with: -Newborn hypoglycemia Pain Management: -Epidural Required -Opioids Required -Pain assessment & management -Use of PCA (IV) Post Partum Care and Procedures: -Bladder assessment/Foley Catheter Insertion -Breast feeding instructions -Episiotomy / incision care -Fundus / lochia / perineum care -Use of electric/ manual breast feeding pump Postpartum Care of the Patient with: -Vaginal Delivery -Cesarean Section -Postpartum Hemorrhage -Pregnancy induced hypertension

Orientation Details - There are no orientations for this position, please make sure candidates are comfortable working. Shift Detail - 12-hour shifts

Additional Details

Charting system: Epic - 3-month separation - Patient Age Group: Adults and infants Candidate is responsible for completing up to 10 hours of Providence and specialty specific modules, independently before candidate will be cleared to work Core Modules: RN/LVN: (9.9 hours)
