Safety Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensures that all Safety Standards for the Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, facility meet regulatory compliance for local, state and federal laws and ordinances
Develops company standard operating procedures to support regulations and administer the National Beef Safety Standards for operative adherence
Ensures that all Environmental standards for the the plant meet regulatory compliance
Designs and delivering regulatory safety and environmental training and coordinating with outside sources to assure training is completed in a timely fashion
to maintain a high level of safety and educational awareness
Conducts audits, inspections and job observations to assure that the plant successfully meets company performance standards
Maintains a safe and healthy work environment including recommending measures to reduce and/or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations through data collection and analyzing date via stats and investigative forms, while maintaining training and equipment testing records, Emergency Response manual, Safety & Health manual to ensure compliance for all OSHA regulated programs
Assists the Human Resource Department in presenting safety training for new hire orientation as well as periodic monthly and annual training for all current employees
This is a safety sensitive position. Qualified candidates for the Safety Manager position should possess the following:
Safety Management Experience (5 years minimum)
Bachelor's Degree
Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office
