Our Global Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team provides key support for all of TikTok’s innovative initiatives, state-of-the-art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global video market. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated guidance and compliance support for global privacy and regulatory affairs matters including information security and data privacy. The TikTok team is growing fast and is seeking highly experienced, bright and capable legal professionals to join the team. One of the critical challenges is the need for our team to provide exceptional support for information security matters involving TikTok. Support development and implementation of information security and data governance processes and policies.
- Work closely with security and other cross-functional teams on reviewing and responding to potential security and data privacy incidents.
- Collaborate with security teams on matters relating to investigations, data defense, data governance, threat defense, risk management, AI, and regulatory compliance.
- Work with legal and product teams globally to review products, features, new applications and initiatives to provide legal risk mitigation strategies to ensure legal compliance for products from an information security perspective.
- Lead legal workflow for new and existing information security vendors, including review and negotiation of agreements and statements of work, maintain standard forms and exhibits, and work with key internal stakeholders across teams.
- Coordinate with legal, information security, trust & safety, data privacy, and other cross-functional colleagues on communication, policy development, and enforcement decisions.
Bachelor’s degree plus a Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- 8 or more years of post-qualifications experience, past experiences should include counseling at an enterprise technology or leading consumer-facing digital application, ideally including user-generated content.
- 3 or more years' of data governance or information security experience within a technology company. Background in data privacy preferred.
- Experience with working with international teams in various time zones in a cross-functional environment.

We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match. As well as Dental, Vision, Short/Long term Disability, Basic Life, Voluntary Life and AD&D insurance plans.
