ofi (“ofi” or the “the Company”)has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Chief Counsel to be located in its offices in Chicago, IL .

Overview: Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Legal, General Counsel for the Americas Region, the Chief Counsel will serve as a proactive, strategic business partner to the business, working actively with the business units across North America and as part of a global team of around 50, and to ensure that the Company follows all required Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. Ideally this candidate will have the potential to be a successor to the General Counsel for Americas. There is potential also to move overseas as part of the future development of the person appointed to this role.

Experience: 15+ years of previous work experience in commercial or corporate law ideally with some time at a leading law firm. Proven track record working on complex transactional and commercial matters and matters relating to corporate law, plus a working knowledge of commercial marketing laws. Experience in a regulated industry is helpful.

Location/Relocation: Chicago, Illinois. Yes, this is a national search, but local candidates are preferred.

Compensation: Competitive salary and generous benefits commensurate with experience.

Bar: Must be fully licensed and in good standing to practice law in Illinois and/or California and/or capable of obtaining in-house certification to practice.
