Administers physical therapy treatments to patients, working under direction of and as assistant to the Physical Therapist.
Administers exercises, therapeutic massages.
Observes patients during treatments and compiles and interprets data on patients' responses to treatments and progress and reports orally or in writing to Physical Therapist.
demonstrates a knowledge of growth and development and an understanding of the range of treatments needed by these patients to include: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. .
Confers with Director of Physical Therapy to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs.
Performs clerical and housekeeping duties within the department, as necessary.
Addresses complaints and resolves problems as necessary in the Director's absence.
Performance of other duties, as assigned
from an accredited college or university in a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training.
