Certification Details

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required (AHA only). BLS - Basic Life Support required (AHA only). PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required (AHA only). NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure required (must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course). CCRN - Critical Care RN required. TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course required (valid for 4 years). EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring required (AWHONN certification valid for 2 years). Tech Cert Verification - National required within 30 days of start. State License 1 Verification required (Primary source online verification required within 30 days of start). NURSYS Verification required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days of start. Job Details

Integrates knowledge, theory and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory. Delivers accurate results in a timely manner. Maintains competence in all Cytology practices to perform pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens. Aids health care providers in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of disease. Responsible for screening up to 80 GYN specimens per day.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university. ASCP-Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Cytologist (CT). CDPH-Licensure by the California Department of Public Health as a Cytotechnologist (CLM/CTT). 2 years recent relevant experience.

Schedule Information

Shift: 5 x 8 Days M - F 0900-1730. No weekend or on-call requirements.
