Certification Details
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required (AHA only).
BLS - Basic Life Support required (AHA only).
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required (AHA only).
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure required (must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course).
CCRN - Critical Care RN required.
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course required (valid for 4 years).
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring required (AWHONN certification valid for 2 years).
Tech Cert Verification - National required within 30 days of start.
State License 1 Verification required (Primary source online verification required within 30 days of start).
NURSYS Verification required for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days of start.
IV Certification (LVN/LPN/Other) may be required.
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) required.
NIH Stroke Certification required.
Certification (Miscellaneous) may be required.
CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute required.
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable.
Competency Exam required with a minimum passing score of 80%.
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam may be required.
Job Details
Integrates knowledge, theory and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory.
Delivers accurate results in a timely manner.
Maintains competence in all Cytology practices to perform pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens.
Aids health care providers in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and prevention of disease.
Responsible for screening up to 80 GYN specimens per day.
Job Requirements
~ Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
~ ASCP-Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as a Cytologist (CT).
~ CDPH-Licensure by the California Department of Public Health as a Cytotechnologist (CLM/CTT).
~2 years recent relevant experience.

Schedule Information
Shift: 5 x 8 Days M - F 0900-1730.
No weekend or on-call requirements.
