* Provide preoperative and postoperative education to patients and their families.
* Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies as necessary.
* Surgical Assistance:
* Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing and passing instruments and supplies.
* Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques.
* Assist with the positioning and draping of patients.
* Team Collaboration:
* Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
* Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
* Documentation and Compliance:
* Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control policies.
* Equipment and Inventory Management:
* Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and supplies.
* Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and in proper working order.
* Manage inventory and order necessary supplies. Qualifications:
* Education:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [State].
* Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years of perioperative, scrub, and/or operating room nursing experience.
* Experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting is preferred.
* Certifications:
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
* Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is a plus.
* Skills:
* Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.
