Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - General Internal Medicine - Full Time
Up to $25,000 Sign-on Bonus
Shift : Days (M - F)
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) delivers medical care to a wide variety of patients. The APRN also examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Advises patients about continuing care.
Performs and documents complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
Ordering of appropriate therapies and tests when needed
Assist with Pre-operative medical clearance and hospital discharge evaluations
Be available to provide on-call coverage after hours/weekends when necessary
Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief and/or Medical Director
Assists with the provision of care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Facilitates the patient's transition within and between health care settings, e.g. admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Master's degree in relevant field
2 years of adult primary care experience highly preferred
