Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Electronics Engineer - Field Service Representative or a Principal Electronics Engineer - Field Service Representative within the Mission Systems IPT to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
The position is located in Rancho Bernardo, CA with up to 25% CONUS travel.
Integrate and test software/hardware systems in complex IT systems.
* Use application of extensive technical expertise to support a developing system.
This position may be filled at either the Electronics Engineer - Field Service Representative or Principal Electronics Engineer - Field Service Representative level depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications for Electronics Engineer - Field Service Representative:
* Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related engineering experience.
* Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
* Demonstrated experience with VmWare
* Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance
* Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)
* Ability to travel up to 25%

* Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline.
* Demonstrated experience with Windows and Unix operating systems

Mission Planning experience
* Ability to maintain system configurations
* Provide expert software, hardware, and system support to on-site end-users.
* Support the IPT with software defect resolution and enhancement efforts.
* Ability to develop and maintain Microsoft PowerShell scripts, Bash and Python scripts, and Microsoft Group Policies
* Familiarity with storage systems and basic networking, Solaris 10 and 11, Oracle OEM, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, VMware ESXi, Vmware, and vCenter
* Author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update procedures
* Document and maintain system configurations
* Provide engineering technical support for peer teams
* Design and implement VMware high-availability virtualized infrastructures
* Maintain COTS Hardware and Software configuration matrix
* Script deployments of Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation and Solaris 10 and 11 operating systems
* Automate installation of COTS software
* Implement engineering changes to the system as required
* Release CM controlled documentation, scripts, and COTS software media
