The Secure Information Systems Department at Collins Aerospace is seeking an *Associate Director* *Software / Firmware Architect* to help grow a new and exciting secure system product line. The qualified candidate will have extensive embedded software experience with a deep knowledge of firmware operations which drives the interfaces.
This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
The SW/FW Secure Systems Architect is the quality authority tasked to drive defect detection to the left of the systems engineering V model. This individual is a lifelong learner with a proven history of pushing teams toward new and innovative processes, tools, and a quality focused culture. The Architect is a technical leader whose roles and responsibilities include requirements derivation, architecture, and design, implementing agile processes and tools, leading bids and proposal work, and working across the engineering functions to achieve program objectives.
*Promote, mature, and grow the application and use of DevSecOps for the product line.
* Promote, mature, and grow the application and use of MBSE for the product line.
* The authority for all SW and FW quality.
* Support the training and growth of the SW and FW teams on the product line and ensure best practices are adhered to.
* Expert experience with developing software in Xilinx SDK or Vitis
* Expert experience with deploying software on FPGAs and SOCs
* Strong experience with application multi-threading
* Experience with Peta Linux
* Supporting development projects from concept through implementation and integration.
* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience *or *an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience *or* in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
* S. government issued security clearance is required.
* S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
