A busy public accounting firm in Woodbury, NY is searching for a friendly receptionist to join their team They are looking for someone tech-savvy, personable, and great on the phone to handle a high volume of phone calls and help provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for clients. This is a temp-to-hire role that will convert in a month. The office is high energy but relaxed with business casual attire, where they bring in lunch daily during the busy season, have summer half-day Fridays, and a kitchen stocked with snacks for employees This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work in a vibrant, supportive environment while gaining valuable experience with the potential to advance into an administrative position in the future
1-2+ years of office/receptionist experience
Proficient with phone systems
Tech-savvy: familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and document management
Ability to handle the busy nature of tax season professionally and courteously
Prior experience working in an accounting or tax firm
Experience using CCH Access or other tax software (training provided)
Answer phones, managing a high volume of calls during tax season
Maintain the cleanliness of conference rooms and the kitchen
Organize files and data in shared drives
Coordinate office lunch orders
Support with stocking the kitchen as needed
Provide additional administrative support as required
